The Dark Knight is deeply unsettling, highly disturbing, and endlessly surprising.  It's almost two films in one, and I was certainly blown away.  Nolan and Ledger accomplished very much, and the film is nothing short of inspired.

I have to think more on this film, and I am not yet sure if I like it--or if I should like it.
